 Dr. H. Quynh Dinh is an assistant professor of Computer Science at the Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ. Her research is in the areas of computer graphics and computer vision, focusing on shape representations (using radial basis functions), shape matching, morphing, surface reconstruction, and vector field matching. Dr. Dinh has published in the ACM Transactions on Graphics (ToG), the IEEE Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence (PAMI), the International Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Analysis (CVPR), and the International Conference on Computer Vision (ICCV). She has taught introductory and advanced computer graphics for 6 years and has supervised both undergraduate and PhD students in research. At Stevens, her goal is to bridge computer science and the arts through research and education by working with arts faculty in the Stevens Art & Technology program to introduce interdisciplinary curricula and conduct research in the area of transmedia analogies (searching for content-based similarity across different media forms). Dr. Dinh received her MS (1998) and PhD (2002) in Computer Science from Georgia Tech and her BS (1994) in Computer Engineering from the George Washington University. Between 1994-1996, she worked as a database application developer for Systems Research and Applications (SRA) in Northern Virginia.
