Increase student-teacher collaboration through an interactive annotation note system

Introduction

One of the common ways students get information from instructors is from class notes posted online. While these notes help precipitate some knowledge from the instructor to the students, it does not allow for any flexibility or addition. Students usually have few or no ways to electronically share their knowledge with other students, and there is no facility for them to augment the teachers notes with more information. Class notes usually encompass on a small part of the overall curriculum. With the right tools, students as well as instructors and TA's can make additions, such a comments, additions, and corrections, to the preexisting class notes, and share these additions with others.
