Genevieve Hudak HW3 - DLC I chose http://www.phoaks.com/phoaks2/. Unfortunately, a lot of stuff I clicked on did not work. However, I still chose to evaluate it. 1. what did you find interesting about it? I thought it was interesting how they had it organized and set up. It seems that they are constantly processing posts and organizing them for content, removing somethings, keeping others. I thought that the idea behind it was cool in that they let anyone post to it (I think), and the most used stuff gets moved to the top of the list. 2. in which way is it related to "collaboration"? I think that it is related to 'collaboration' in that things people find useful they can put up there, and then things that other people AGREE is useful, gets a higher rating. It also mentioned that people's opinions on things get added (though i couldn't access anything!). So in that way it seems somewhat collaborative. 3. how does it compare with the Swiki used for our class? I don't like it as much as the swiki. It seems much less reliable (seeing as it was pretty broken!), plus the users seem to have less control of content and such than we have over the swiki. |
