1. what are aspects of the course so far that are positive and should be sustained? Playful and fun toys like Pita board and CLever. 2. what do you think about the following parts of the course? 2.1. Lectures THREE on a scale of 1-5 (5=exceptional). 2.2. Guest Lectures FIVE 2.3. "practical sessions" (EDC, PitaBoard, Role Playing) FIVE 2.4. small assignments TWO. Most of the readings are really dry. It takes 3 hours to read and another two to do a good job at the assignment. 2.5. efforts of getting course participants involved in the course FIVE 2.6. use of the Swiki in the course OK, now this would sound twisted. I would give TWO for the fact that it is hard to find stuff. Like it gives the impression that everything is categorized but it is not. However, I would also give it a FIVE for the help it provides me when I am doing assignments. Both of these things bug/benefit me a lot. 2.7. peer-to-peer learning (e.g., to which extent did it happen in your case) FOUR 2.8. independent research activities FOUR 2.9. course projects not started yet. 3. which improvements would you like to see for the course? 4. self-assessment – please let us know how well YOU think you have done in the course Think about this in terms of your performances in: 4.1. please give an honest answer about how much time and effort you have put into your work so far (work hard <--> last-minute effort <--> minimum effort to get by) I will use the initial 1-5 scale. 4.2. participation (including class participation; attendance, ...); FOUR 4.3. small assignments, FOUR 4.4. your effort thus far in the independent research activities THREE 4.5. your effort thus far in your project not started yet 5. What do you hope to learn from this course? 5.1. originally before the course started? How the whole process of D/L/C is superior to other processes. 5.2. now (close to the end of February?) same 6. anything else you would like us to know? Nothing on top of my head. Its a different experience taking such courses as compared to the traditional ones and I enjoy it. We should also have more time for the Wednesday assignment or possibly a shorter assignment. |
