I am interested in the design of a user-friendly web interface. I have a question though, would it be alright to take a web interface that has already been designed, and perhaps dicuss how it needs improvements and then possible make those improvements. In particular, I worked on developing the web interface to a Biochemistry search tool for searching genes in the human, mouse and rat genomes. It would be interesting to examine the interface and see how it's design stands up. I would already have a group of users that we could test it on too, since I plan to do that with the project anyway. What do you think?
