Discussion: [PROJECT] EDC with GIS

I'm interested in this idea.

I think another tradeoffs in this issue is abstraction level.
Good example is Agentsheet. Agentsheet provides a good abstraction by grids.
If AgentSheet indroduced cartesian coordinate system (REAL X REAL), end user programming would be much more complicated.
On the other hand, the gridded coordinate system of Agentsheet has its own limitation; diagonal direction and distance.

Providing a good abstraction of "space", in which different kinds of people can get a benefit of precisioned GIS data in a collaborative setting, is one possible extent of this topic.
We will also have to choose an input device for EDC because the chessboard device has relatively low resolution and Smartboard has limitation in handling mutiple users.
