First Progress Report - Jodi Kiefer
Our group, the design group, has chosen to focus our individual research on a general theme – designing for education. We have split forces within this realm to cover various topics. This theme directly correlates with the development of the STRONG prototype, to be used as our class project. Being that the STRONG prototype is being developed as a web interface, I have decided to research learning with multimedia principles for my part of the Independent Research. In particular, I will be looking at what principles should be applied in design when using multimedia in learning environments.
I have gathered various resources that will enable me to present some of the multimedia principles that are currently being implemented and used in educational multimedia designs. For the remaining weeks in class, I will be comparing and contrasting the various studies and research findings that I have found to reflect the principles on the issues we have discussed in class.
